Z-z-z-zap

Do you remember how creative you were as a child? I was an obsessed little artist — art was all I wanted to do. If art projects were measured in sparks, I was a live wire.

Those little sparks in my belly never went away, but as real life progresses, you grow up, and you have to fight / for your right / to be arty.  And now, a few decades later, I’m all about summoning up all the childlike energy I can to start some fresh new fires.

I’ve always been fascinated by patterns. I would get sucked into the repeating nature of tiles and they would become my daydreamscapes. Being a kid in the early 80s I was surrounded by pattern, and particularly loved the orange florals in our kitchen, pictured above. Patterns were for pattern’s sake and I loved that. It’s about making things pretty. I hope you’ll come back and see all the pretty things I’m looking forward to posting.

Thanks for being here!
