Pinch me

WOW. What an amazing week! I got a major boost when one of my all-time favourite pattern blogs, Print & Pattern, featured my work! I was thrilled. You can read the post here. A huge thanks to Bowie Style for the support! Call me New Age, but sometimes you’re looking around for a sign that you’re moving in the right direction, the universe actually gives you one.

Super excited to have started an online course called The Art and Business of Surface Design last week!! The course is 5 weeks long and is all about branding yourself in this industry, creating patterns in collections and developing your personal style. So far, so AWESOME. One of this week’s exercises was to develop a collection and really start to define it… naming my colours, defining my style, and ultimately naming my patterns. Super fun! Thought I would share what I did, featuring Allo Aloe, with a palette built around rosy peach, midnight sky, warm moss and frosted mint!

Thanks Brenda! You should definitely take the course… I’ve heard nothing but good feedback, and so far, I understand why. Really great!

Hi, Elizabeth. I saw the post about your work at P&P and got impressed by your work so went to see your site. Everything is so beautiful, professional and goodlooking. Awesome!
I did RT’s course too, the version one of the three Modules. But I am just a beginner. Congrats for such a coherent and good looking work!
