Apparel for Rasmussens

What a fun little collaboration this was! A playful mini Summer collection of tees and sweatshirts using some of my artwork by Germany-based lifestyle brand Rasmussens. The quality of the pieces is exceptional, the fabric feels like butter and I love that I can walk around my adopted city of Lisbon giving everyone a little friendly Olá (hello!).

new photobooks for mixbook

So excited to share my latest collaboration — a Love-themed Photo book for Mixbook! When they asked me to design a photobook with the theme of Love, I immediately knew that I wanted this book to be about Love in the broadest sense of the word, not just romantic love, or family love — but whatever the love in your life looks like to you. For me, a book of Love would be a chance to ceremoniously recognize all the people in my life who give me love, and honour how special that is. So, to me, this book is a celebration of Love in all its many forms.

The colours are joyful, the prints are bold and fun, and it’s all secondary to the magic your photos add to the mix. It’s  photo-forward and exuberantly celebrates the memories you have made with the people you love. I called it Me & Mine, and its made for You & Yours.

Since my book arrived I find myself going back to it again and again. The cover makes me smile (my bf is on one side, and my best friend is on the other). And when I open it and it’s full of even more beautiful reminders of Love.

I also have baby books and a variety of other products with them. The creation tools are super easy to use and the quality is beautiful so it’s not an intimidating process. So I invite you to create your own book of Love with Me&Mine for Mixbook!

Artonomo, art licensing tool

I wanted to introduce you to a tool that has been fulfilling soooo many of my biz needs, one that I’ve been aching for, for a very long time! When I first started licensing, I didn’t know how to keep track of everything… which client has which artwork, for what products, for how long. When I was just starting it was fine, easily manageable. But once I had a few pieces that resonated with different clients for different types of products, I knew I needed a system for tracking everything. And after over 10 years of doing this work, there finally IS one! Read on below…

I'm pleased to introduce you to Artonomo! Over the past year I’ve worked with them to help test out their new platform and offer up suggestions to make it the best it can be. The platform has a few tiers — if you’re just starting out, you can use it for free to host your password-protected portfolio. If you’re more established, the paid memberships offers a richer experience that helps you manage all of your art, and has a client-facing portfolio where clients can search by keyword, save their own light boxes, and request availability. Each client gets their own user/pass so you can see who is logging in to view your stuff. Once a piece is licensed out for a contract, you can input all the contract info and attach the art to that contract, so you know exactly what’s been licensed out to who, for what, where and for how long. So I don’t have to panic that I might’ve accidentally licensed out the same art to two clients. You can also track your finances. I COULD GO ON but encourage you to check it out for yourself. This platform has made a big change in the stress I have felt around managing my contracts and I think it’s great and maybe you will too. When I get a request no, I no longer scan my brain and my outdated spreadsheet, I just pop onto the platform and voila — I know in seconds what the status is.

NB: Artonomo invited me early on to be a brand ambassador, which means I get the chance to test out all their features before they launch. I’ve received some free membership to the platform in exchange for helping spread the word -- I’d only do it if I believed in it! Hope you enjoy the platform too!
